<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the reproducing of data constant by uniformizing the lubricant on the part of a tape which is to be used repeatedly. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a supplying reel stand, a winding reel stand, a magnetic head, a guiding member and a transferring means which guides of a tape or transfer the tape by being brought into contact with the tape and which are for restoring the tape to a normal state when an abnormality is detected in the tape, a running abnormality detecting circuit 21 detecting an abnormality in the running of the tape, a tape drive control circuit 22 storing a running abnormal position on the tape, a high speed repeating running control circuit 23 controlling the running of the tape so that prescribed ranges before and behind the running abnormal position on the tape make round trips repeatedly 10 times at the ten-times speed of the normal running speed of the tape in the guiding member or the transferring means and also the part preceding the running abnormal position on the tape is positioned at the rear side of a position where the part is positioned when the running abnormality is detected at the time the round trips are completed and a retry running control circuit 24 performing a control so that the tape runs at the normal running speed again thereafter.</p> |
