PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steam separator for improving steam separating performance in a stationary state and a load change state by effecting a simple structure alteration. SOLUTION: In the steam separator 20 comprising a steam introducing tube 22 connected to an upper side face of a housing 21, a steam outlet tube 23 connected to an upper end, and a water falling tube 24 connected to a lower end, the housing 21 is partitioned therein by a baffle plate 25 extended in a vertical direction and opened down into a steam and water mixing chamber 26, a separating chamber 27 and a steam chamber 28, and separating plates 30, 32 are disposed in the chamber 28 to partition a part of the chamber 28 into upper and lower parts.
