PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply eliminate biting of foreign matters. SOLUTION: A ball valve is provided with a ball valve element 3 and a valve seat 2 for rotatably supporting the ball valve element 3 around one shaft and having an inflow port 11 and discharge ports 12, 13 facing a communication hole 30 formed on the ball valve element 3. The inflow port 11 side in the communication hole 30 is coaxial with a rotary shaft of the ball valve element 3, and a cylindrical part 35 to be inserted in the communication hole 30 is provided on the inflow port 11 side. Since fluid allowed to flow to the inflow port 11 is allowed to directly flow to the communication hole 30 through the cylindrical part 35, it is not allowed to flow to a part between the ball valve element 3 and the valve seat 2.
