VISUAL INSPECTION METHOD AND VISUAL INSPECTION DEVICE IN TABLET BLISTER PACKAGE LINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To distinguish a regular non-defective product in tablets obliquely housed in pockets. SOLUTION: A camera 8 of this visual inspection device picks up the image of a tablet 6 housed in a pocket 4 of a PTP(press-through package) sheet 2 from above. The picked-up image signal by the camera 8 is input into a computer 10 for image processing. In this image processing, a computer 10 measures the major axis length and the minor axis length of the tablet 6. When the major axis length is within a range of reference lengths with the minor axis length less than a lower limit value of the reference lengths, the computer 10 measures the center position of the tablet 6 and obtains a difference to a center position of the pocket 4 (positional shift amount). When the positional shift amount of the tablet 6 is a prescribed value or larger, the computer 10 decides that the tablet 6 is a regular tablet housed obliquely in the pocket 4. When the positional shift amount of the tablet 6 is less than the prescribed value, the computer 10 decides that the tablet 6 is a tablet with crocks or foreign matter such as trash.
