PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the operability by simply selecting a device set with a connection in a system where an IEEE 1394 interface is provided at an integrated receiver decoder IRD. SOLUTION: The IRD is provided with the IEEE 1394 interface so as to send data among devices. For example, 5 devices are selected among the devices connected to the IEEE 1394 interface and a node identification number is assigned to the 5 devices and the result is registered. Thus, many devices are not arranged in a device list where connection is set, and the device can easily be selected. Furthermore, the 5 devices which are registered faster are registered automatically among the devices physically connected to the interface. Then the registration can simply by revised through the user entry. In the case of revising the registration, revision of the registration is inhibited for a device to which program reservation is set or a device to which a connection is set. Thus, even when registration is revised, no malfunction takes place. |
