PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly use a driving IC chip of one kind to various print heads of different printing densities or the like by avoiding a large limit on a lead-out direction of a wire in wire bonding to a pad set to the driving IC chip. SOLUTION: A control circuit for selectively driving a plurality of print elements 5 of a print head B is incorporated in the driving IC chip. A plurality of pads including a first pad 3a and a second pad 3b for electrically connecting the print head B to the outside are set to a primary face 10. The primary face 10 is shaped to have a plurality of side edge parts 15a-15d extending longitudinally and laterally in a plan view. The pads 3a and 3b of the driving IC chip A for the print head are set together to a corner part 11a of the primary face 10 where the plurality of side edge parts 15a and 15b intersect or its vicinity. Moreover, centers of the pads 3a and 3b are mutually shifted in any of the longitudinal and lateral directions of the primary face 10 in the plan view. |
