PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress breaking or cracking by machining the inside of a radial anisotropic sintered magnet at first with an inner grindstone and then machining it from the outer circumferential side with an outer grindstone. SOLUTION: An radial anisotropic ring magnet 3 is machined, at first, from the inner circumferential side with an inner grindstone 2 and then the outer circumferential side with an outer grindstone 1. According to this machining method, progress of microcrack due to grinding stress is suppressed when the inner circumferential side is ground and generation of crack is accelerated by a tensile force stretching to the outer circumferential side when the outer circumferential side is ground. Consequently, breaking or cracking can be suppressed.
