PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prewarm the subject of washing with hot and cold rinsing water in a pre-rinsing process and to efficiently heat the hot and cold rinsing water. SOLUTION: This dishwasher includes a switch means 12 for either supplying or stopping hot and cold water from an external feeding part A to a washing tank 3, a temperature detection means 18 for detecting the temperatures of the hot and cold water, an electric heater 17 for heating the hot and cold water, a discharge means 13 for discharging the hot and cold water, and a control means 20 for controlling the switch means 12 and the like, the control means 20 performing a washing process wherein the subject of washing is washed with the hot water heated by the electric heater 17, a pre-rinsing process wherein rinsing is performed, a heat rinsing process wherein the subject of washing is rinsed with the hot water heated by the electric heater 17, and a drying process wherein the electric heater 17 is actuated to dry the subject of washing. In the pre-rinsing process, if the temperature detected by the temperature detection means 18 is less than a set temperature, the electric heater 17 is actuated, whereas if it is equal to or higher than the set temperature, the electric heater 17 is stopped.
