PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foundation material for a wall-side long-thin ridge tile, by which a long-thin ridge tile can be stacked by a wall without using clay. SOLUTION: A long-thin ridge tile base section 1 formed to a wall surface K in an inclined plane at 75 deg.-90 deg., a mounting plate section 3 formed on the wall surface K side of the long-thin ridge tile base section 1, a thin comb-tooth shaped pantile-surface abutting section 2 formed on the front end side of the long-thin ridge tile base section 1 are formed by using a synthetic resin material having weatherability. Then, the long-thin ridge tiles are stacked by employing the foundation material 10 for the wall-side long-thin ridge tiles.
