PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent lowering of improvement in fuel economy resulted from cylinder halt driving, by accurately conducting a heavy load determination, even if a part of cylinders is halting in a cylinder halting engine. SOLUTION: A determination whether or not cylinder halt driving is made (S100), and a threshold value PBWOT for a heavy load determination is selected (a table search) according to a determination result (S102, S110). When a detected load (intake manifold absolute pressure PBA) is more than the selected threshold value, a determination is made to be in a heavy load state (S120). When the determination is made in the heavy load state, full-opening enrichment is conducted in a fuel injection control.
