<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect correctly an adsorbed state of an adsorbing material for removing volatile harmful chemical substance, its performance, life and the like. SOLUTION: An air cleaner is constituted wherein an adsorbing material 95 for removing volatile harmful chemical substance is provided. The adsorbing material 95 is arranged in a draft route 92. Further, a VOC sensor 90 is provided in the draft route 92. The VOC sensor 90 uses a part of the adsorbing material 95 as a sample piece 90, and contains a heater 97 for desorbing the volatile harmful chemical substance adsorbed in the sample piece 96. When the sample piece 96 is heated by the heater 97, the adsorbed volatile harmful chemical substance is desorbed, and the adsorbed substance is precisely detected by a detector 98. Such the detected result is utilized by a control circuit 100, and a exchange time for the adsorbing material 95 and its regenerating period are displayed on a display 91.</p> |
