PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve efficiency of machining work and reduce cost by allowing diameter of a piston to be set only depending on diameter of a center hole of a sleeve. SOLUTION: This master cylinder 1 is provided with a cylinder 2, a first sleeve 3, a second sleeve 7, a first piston 4 (rear side), and a second piston 5 (front side). For example, when delivery liquid amount from a second pressure chamber 20 of the master cylinder 1 is changed, it can be easily achieved by mounting, instead of the second piston 5 and the first sleeve 3, a second piston having an outer diameter different from the second piston 5 and a sleeve having an inner diameter equal to the diameter of the second piston 5 the cylinder body 2. The master cylinder 1 can allow the delivery liquid amount from the pressure chambers 19, 20 to be easily changed by adequately changing the pistons 4, 5 and the sleeves 3, 7, and modification of the cylinder body or machining of the cylinder body is not required.
