PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting system capable of performing sufficient feedback control even if the variation of reflectivity of a certain part in a sensing range occurs in relation to a lighting system performing the feedback control so as to set the illuminance of an irradiated surface generally constant. SOLUTION: This lighting device is provided with an illumination load, a light sensing part 3 for sensing the illuminance of an irradiated surface, a control means 4 that receives the sense output of the light sensing part 3 and controls the light output of the illumination load toward a direction that sets the sensed value of the light sensing part 3 to a predetermined target value, and a human body detection part 1 for detecting the presence of a human body, and the variation rate of the light output of the illumination load is changed according to the difference between the sense output of the light sensing part 3 and the target value.
