<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simultaneously transmit data of a plurality of systems using the optical waveguide of one system by placing band-pass filters which extract light in a specific wavelength band and transmit it, between the optical axis of a plurality of optical modules on a semiconductor chip and the optical axis of the optical waveguide placed on a semiconductor substrate. SOLUTION: Data received by module A 23 and module B 24 is processed on a semiconductor chip 1, and data is in turn outputted from module C25 to module C 38 on a semiconductor chip 3 using optical signals with a wavelength of, for example, C. At the semiconductor chip 3, data of module A 37 being received and data of module C 38 newly transmitted are processed, and the result of the process is returned to module C 25 on the semiconductor chip 1 through module C 38 again, then next data is waited for. By this series of processes, optical signals of wavelength A, optical signals of wavelength B and optical signals of wavelength C can simultaneously use an optical waveguide 4 without interfering with by one another's signals.</p> |
