PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically provide an accurate breaking point data corresponding to a true breaking point all the time, even when a load reducing rate is high at breaking of a test piece. SOLUTION: Load data during a test are stored momentarily in a storing means, a peak value is retrieved from among the time series data of loads stored in the storing means after the detection of the breakage of the test piece, while going back from the last data side, and the peak value is determined as a breaking point data to provide thereby the accurate breaking point data, without containing an error caused by time lag in a conventional device, where sudden reduction of load is captured by real-time processing to determine the load data at time as the breaking point data.
