PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wave-like lid having an insertion opening rounded part along which the lid can be easily raised, a convex part with which the lid can be automatically closed, and a concave part with which the volume of refuse to be charged can be increased, and having an inner lid box cover which is stabilized so that its inlet part becomes stationary during opening operation of the refuse container. SOLUTION: A lid 3 set on the top of a box cover 2 serving as an inner lid, is formed with a rounded part 6 in the vicinity of the front end opening face 5 of the lid 3, and an arcuated convex part 7 around the center of the bottom of the lid 3, and the lid 3 is movably attached at its rear part by means of a hinge. The outer surface of the concave part 7 is convex, serving as a bumper for a sash member 9. The lid 3 generally has a wave-like shape as viewed from its one side. Further, at the front face of the box cover 2, a receiving part 13 of an L-like engaging part which is retained by a frame support 15 is formed.
