PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device making a brush hardly set to rise or fall on a roller brush charging body, and removing the dirt accumulated particularly deep part of the inclined brush piles, and moreover making a charging state on a photoreceptor by the roller brush charging body possible to be always excellently maintained. SOLUTION: This image forming device is allowed to form an electrostatic latent image on the surface of a photoreceptor drum 3 on which the electric charge applied by the roller brush charging body 1 being held in contact therewith. The image forming device is, provided with the brush cleaner 11 in contact with the roller brush charging body 1 and rotated for raising brush piles on the roller shape brush charging body 1, and a forming blade 12 disposed between the brush cleaner 11 and the photoreceptor drum 3, for setting the above brush piles on this roller shape brush charging body 1 held in contact with the roller shape brush charging body 1.
