PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ventilation control method and a ventilation system, high in control performance, low in cost, eliminating the need for considering sensor drift effects, and requiring no calibration for two sensors. SOLUTION: This ventilation control method employs an air-supply blower 18 and an air-exhaust blower 20, each equipped with its own motor, to independently control the speed of the motor for the air-supply blower 18 and/or the air-exhaust blower 20, thereby reducing pressure fluctuations inside a vehicle with pressure fluctuations outside it. Only the pressure outside the vehicle is measured. A target value setting logic 46 then uses the measurement taken of the outside pressure to find a target value for the pressure inside the vehicle. A control device 48 then uses the target interior pressure value and the current outside pressure value prepares a command for the motor speed for the air- supply blower 18 and/or the air-exhaust blower 20. It thus controls the flow rate of the supply air and exhaust air independently of each other so that the interior pressure can gradually follow the outside pressure.
