PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use a fastener in surgical operational treatment by providing a rivet and a pin, sending the pin from the proximal end of the rivet toward the distal end to bring the pin into contact with the inner surface of the leg of the rivet, and applying force substantially in the vertical direction to the central axis of the rivet. SOLUTION: A fastener 2 is formed by a rivet 3 and a pin 5, and the rivet 3 is formed by at least two leg parts 12 fitted to the head 4 and the distal end 8. The head 4 is increased in diameter from the distal end toward the proximal end, whereby simultaneously with the arrangement of the fastener, a face for fixing an orthopaedic surgery device to the bone is obtained. The pin 5 is compressive in the radial direction. When the pin 5 is sent forward, an insert end 20 comes into contact with the leg part 12 of the rivet 3, and pressure is produced substantially in the vertical direction to the central axis 10 of the rivet 3. A flexible member 16 of the pin 5 is frictinally engaged with an adjacent bone with the flexible leg part 12 of the rivet 3 expanded outward.
