PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the effect of the fluctuation of a heat load caused by a printing medium such as paper to the fixing of toner. SOLUTION: This fixing device to weld the toner to the printing medium is a toner fixing device provided with a first heating element 100, a second heating element 102 and a power control circuit 24 constituted so as to selectively supply the first heating element 100 with substantially constant average power and to adjust power supplied to the second heating element 102 in response to the heat load of the first heating element 100 by the printing medium, and also this method is the compensating method of the fluctuation of the heat load for the fixing of the toner to the printing medium. |
