TRIP TIME MEASURING INSTRUMENT, TRIP TIME TOTALIZING DEVICE, AND TRIP TIME TOTALIZATION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately measure the trip time which a vehicle spent in running between two different points. SOLUTION: A trop time measuring instrument resets a counter in a trip time operation part at the timing when the vehicle passes a communication area of a roadside device (step S01). Counting of the counter is started hereafter (step S02), and it is discriminated whether the present position of the vehicle is on a main road in a road map or not (step S03). If the vehicle is off the main road (NO in step S03), the counter is stopped till return to the main road (steps S04 to S06). When the vehicle passes the next roadside device (YES in step S07), the counter value is converted to a trip time (step S08), and the converted trip time is transmitted to the roadside device (step S09).
