PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a sealing material by dividing the sealing material having a pair of ring-shaped parts and a pair of rod-shaped parts for connecting the ring-shaped parts to each other, molding respective members by using molding dies corresponding to the members, and then connecting them. SOLUTION: A sealing material S is provided with a pair of ring-shaped parts 1, 1 and a pair of rod-shaped parts 3 extending between a pair of ring- shaped parts. The ring shaped parts 1 and the rod-shaped parts 3 are independently formed. A connecting piece 13 having an opening part is integrally molded to each ring-shaped part 1, and inserting parts 33 are integrally molded on the ends of each rod-shaped part 3. The insertion parts 33 are inserted into the opening parts of the connecting piece 13 to connect the ring-shaped parts 1 and the rod-shaped parts 3 to each other.
