<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To arrange dummy pixels for protecting MIN(metal insulator metal) elements of display pixels from dielectric breakdown due to static electricity generated during a processing without impairing the appearance. SOLUTION: Dummy pixels 10' are provided in a part which is in the non- display region of the outside of a display region and which is distant from the terminal of the non-display region. In this case, two-terminal nonlinear elements for dummy which are to be formed with respect to one dummy pixel are plurally divided. Thus, since respective dummy pixels 10' are driven separately by two-terminal nonlinear elements 11' for dummy, which are to be dielectrically broken down more easily than two-terminal nonlinear elements 4 for display, when they receive static electricity, the two-terminal nonlinear elements 11' for dummy are dielectrically broken down more preferentially than the two-terminal nonlinear elements 4 for display.</p> |
