PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To speed up and insert by using a robot two articles at a time in each bucket of a bucket conveyor. SOLUTION: A robot hand is provided with a first article holding means and a second article holding means placed adjoining the first article holding means, and each are made able to move up and down independently by a lifting means. A bucket 12 is provided with a support part 34 for supporting a part of an article 8. First, the first article holding means is lowered for holding a part of the first article 8A. At this time the article 8A held is placed not superposing vertically with the second article holding means. Then the second article holding means is positioned below the first article 8A for holding the second article 8B. Both of these articles 8A, 8B are simultaneously inserted into a bucket 12. The lower second article 8B does not fit the support part 34 and is placed on the bottom face of the bucket 12, and as to the upper first article 8A a part of which is placed on the support part 34 and the rest on the second article 8B.
