PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine whether or not a diaper wearer has had incontinence and the degree of excretion irrespective of the behavior of the diaper wearer. SOLUTION: This excretion monitoring system T comprises a resin film 2 affixed to the outside of a diaper, an excretion condition detecting circuit 47 for detecting whether or not there is excretion and the amount of excretion according to changes in electrostatic capacity between conductors 21, 21 and changes in resistance value of a resistor 23, a transmission means 48 for transmitting the detected excretion condition using electric waves, and an excretion condition receiving device 5 which causes the excretion information received to be displayed on a display 53.
