PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polymer PTC composition having electrical stability and thermal stability by comprising the polymer PTC composition of a crystal or semicrystal polymer, a particulate conductive filler, and an inorganic additive and an antioxidant for enhancing thermal stability, mechanical stability and electrical stability. SOLUTION: A polymer PTC device is composed of a conductive polymer composition comprising a crystal or semicrystal polymer, a particulate conductive filler, an inorganic additive and an optional antioxidant. The polymer composition withstanding against high voltage has high PTC effect and low initial resistivity at 250 deg.C and withstands against a voltage of 110-130 VAC or above while sustaining electrical stability and thermal stability. According to the method, a PTC device achieving electrical characteristics and thermal characteristics can be produced.
