PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device by which a stabilized transfer performance is always obtained regardless of the absolute humidity condition of a device installation environment. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a transfer output controlling means 66 executing constant voltage control so that transfer voltage is set to be a target voltage value for a transfer output applied to a transfer roller 35 by a transfer output applying means 67 and a limiter 68 to prevent a transfer current from being equal to or above the upper limit value of the transfer current. By this constitution, the transfer current of the transfer output is regulated by the limiter 68 under the environment of high humidity in which an excessive transfer current is likely made to flow because the electric resistance value of paper P is deteriorated, so that it is set in a simulative constant current control state. Thus, defective transfer that is likely caused in the case of executing the constant current control under the environment of low humidity and in the case of executing the constant voltage control under the environment of the high humidity is prevented. |
