PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image forming device capable of selectively forming the desired image of an animation image by providing a designating means for designating the desired image in an inputted animation image, a selecting means for selecting the designated image and an image forming means for forming an image by obtaining the selected image. SOLUTION: When an image forming processing is started (S3001), first a temporary image area for the image to be prepared is secured (S3002). Next, whether or not image data to be processed exists is decided (S3003), and when it there is none, the processing is ended (S3018). When there is, the image data is analyzed (S3004). As a result of the analysis, the image data is subjected to various processings based on its kind, and whether or not the image data is an animation image is decided (S3005). When the answer is a 'no', corresponding processing is executed to the image data (S3018), but if it is an 'yes', information previously designated on a utility screen is acquired (S3006).
