PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a facsimile equipment that prevents power supply to an unnecessary recording sections for further saving of power consumption. SOLUTION: When a read section 10 detects an original to be read in a low power consumption state and the low power consumption state is released, no power is supplied to a recording section 13. Furthermore, in when a copy indication or a communication indication is not received within a prescribed time after the read section 10 detects the original to be read, the facsimile equipment warns the operator.
