PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a structure of stably supporting a case part of an image pickup device by utilizing a file windup shaft of a camera with respect to a film patrone type image pickup device with a shape mounted to a patrone chamber of the film camera. SOLUTION: A plate member 14 is extended to a side face of a case 16 that is formed to be mounted in a patrone chamber of a camera, and an image pickup element 12 is mounted on the plate member 14. A recess 18 corresponding to run off of a film windup shaft of the camera is provided at an upper part of the case 16. A bottom face 24 of the recess 18 acts like a slide face on which a tip of the film windup shaft slides, and a click engagement section with which the film windup shaft is engaged is formed. Insertion of the case 16 to the patrone chamber caused the film windup shaft to be engaged with the click engagement section to support stably the case 16.
