PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the scale of receiver circuit small. SOLUTION: When reception of a multiple PSK modulated wave such as BPSK and 8PSK is started, a selector 16C of a demodulation circuit 1C reads higher-order 3-bit Δϕ(3) of phase error data, corresponding to outputs I', Q' of a remapper 7 which conducts absolute phase processing from a phase error table among those for BPSK prepared by modulation systems. A reception signal phase rotating angle detection circuit 8C detects the phase rotating angle of a part of the received symbol stream corresponding to bit (1), of a frame synchronizing signal of a received symbol stream on the basis of the Δϕ(3) and an MSB of an output Q' of the remapper 7, outputs the angle to the remapper 7, where absolute phase processing is conducted. A selector 16C reads phase error data corresponding to the received symbol stream from a phase error table, in response to the modulation system and the phase rotating angle identified by a transmission configuration identification circuit 9, outputs the data to a D/A converter 17, where the phase of the reference carrier for quadrature detection and a phase of a received signal point is kept constant with respect to a transmission signal point. |
