PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protective band for a tree, capable of preventing a worm having a nail, such as an adult insect or a larva of the insect from reaching a fruit through the outer periphery of the outer surface fabric by vertically installing many rod-like bodies on which the worm can not climb up, on the outer periphery of the outer surface fabric wound around the tree. SOLUTION: This protective band for a tree has a rectangular outer surface fabric 3 having many engaging fragments 4 integrally formed on the outer surface at the upper and lower edge parts, a latticework 5 having many rod-like bodies 6 having smooth and hard surfaces, arranged in the vertical direction at a minute interval, and many engaging fragments 8 formed at the upper and lower end parts of the inner surface of the latticework 5. The protective band is wound around the tree in the state in which the engaging fragments 8 of the latticework 5 are engaged with the engaging fragments 4 of the outer surface fabric 3.
