PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change the moving position of a means to be driven and timing that a large pulse is generated so that an adjusted pulse value for detecting the position may not get large to eliminate the need of securing sufficient recording capacity to store the adjusted pulse value or requiring much time to move the means to be driven to a desired position. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a small pulse generating means generating the pulse interlocked with the rotation of a motive power generating means, large pulse generating means 17 and 18 generating the pulse at larger intervals than the small pulse generating means in the case of moving the means to be driven, and it detects the position of the means to be driven by the combination of the small pulse and the large pulse. It is also provided with position adjusting means 18e and 19c changing the moving position of the means to be driven and the timing that the large pulse is generated.
