PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To install a walkway simply and quickly by mounting a walkway frame made of unit-length parallel members connected by multiple links along an earth retaining wall on girder members or strut members suspended on opposite earth retaining walls, fastening and connecting the walkway frame and the girder members or strut members with vise metal fittings, and mounting walkway plates on the walkway frame. SOLUTION: Multiple I-steels 2' serving as girder members or strut members are suspended in sequence at nearly uniform intervals at the same level positions of opposite earth retaining walls to keep the width between the earth retaining walls. A walkway frame 5 connected with unit-length parallel members 4 by links 3 is mounted along one earth retaining wall on the girder members or strut members, the walkway 5 and the girder members or strut members are fastened and connected by vise metal fittings 6, and walkway plates 7' are mounted on the walkway frame 5 to form a temporary walkway 7. The temporary walkway 7 can be formed quickly and simply on the I-steels 2' serving as the girder members or strut members, and the carry-in/out of materials and the movement of personnel to the ground excavation work below can be easily made.
