PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flame-retarded epoxy resin composition that has excellent flame-retardancy in no need of halogen-containing flame retardant with reduced occurrence of hazardous gases and shows excellent workability because of its low viscosity, and provide insulated electric parts by using the same. SOLUTION: This flame-retarded epoxy resin composition comprises an epoxy resin, an acid anhydride and a hydrated alumina, and finally a silicone compound is formulated to the resin composition, that bears a unit that has the reactivity to inorganic substance, the unit that is rich in reactivity to organic substance and the unit that increases the compatibility with the organic substance.
