PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the safety of protection of a protector for bullet proofing and cutlery protection against especially sharp tools and cutlery while securing weight reduction and flexibility so as not to spoil the movement of a wearer. SOLUTION: A protector 1 for bullet proofing and cutlery resistant protection, which is for protecting the part of a wearer to be protected, such as the chest or the like, is equipped with a multitude of sheets of protecting plates 11, arranged in the shape of a matrix substantially with a small space, and a first enveloping and retaining body 2, retaining the protecting plates under the arrayed condition of the same as it is. Further, the protector 1 is equipped with a multitude of sheets of sub protecting plates 21, having a plurality of legs integrally and arrayed so as to ride over the neighboring protecting plates and cover respective gaps 11a between the protecting plates while being superposed partially by the neighboring legs mutually, and a second enveloping and retaining body 3, retaining the sub protecting plates under the arrayed condition of the same as it is. The first and second enveloping and retaining bodies are superposed and connected partially whereby the protector is constituted integrally.
