Aqueous dispersions of fluoropolymers

An aqueous fluoropolymer dispersion (I) is essentially free from fluorine containing emulsifier (II). An Independent claim is included for a process to separate (II) from (I) by the addition of a non-ionic emulsifier to stabilize the dispersion which is then mixed with an anion-exchange material followed by separation of the anion exchange material and optionally concentration of the resulting dispersion.
