PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an illegal access preventing method in a network system, by which data are prevented from being illegally written by means of a disguising manager by executing an access processing when a community name reported from an SNMP management station is set by itself. SOLUTION: MIB intrinsic to a vendor is previously defined in order to enable previously re-writing the community name and a re-writing processing program is supplied in an agent 3. The agent 3 transmits Trap-PDU 6 when a state is made to be the system-up one but an object ID is set to a name in a value concerning the community name = STAT5 to be effective for the first time in Trap-PDU 6. Thus, access is possible only in the SNMP management station 1 which receives Trap-PDU 6. Besides, access is not performed to the agent 3 unless the reported community name = STAT5 is used.
