PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processor which selects an optimum printer with a simple operation without special knowledge and is also excellent in a user interface. SOLUTION: A list of image readers and printers which actually exist on a network and a virtual printer, an 'optimum printer', 3a is displayed. Then, when one image reader 2d is designated and an operation which makes the 'optimum printer' 3a print an image read from it is performed, the consistency between the attributes of the image reader 2d and the attributes of all of the printers existing on the network is taken to select the most suitable printer, and the printer is made to output the read image.
