PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separation type optical fiber tape assembly in which each optical fiber tape is easily separated especially at a low temp. while the characteristics in a normal use temp. range (-30 deg.C to 60 deg.C) are maintained. SOLUTION: Plural coated optical fibers 5 as arranged parallel to one another on a plane are coated together with a UV-curing resin 6 having 90 to 100 kg/mm2 Young's modulus at 23 deg.C to obtain a optical fiber tape 7. The optical fiber tapes 7 are then connected with a UV-curing resin 9 having 0.15 to 0.25 kg/mm2 Young's modulus at -30 deg.C to 23 deg.C to fill the space between adjacent tapes. Then the outer faces of the connected optical fiber tapes 7 and the space between the tapes 7 are wholly coated with a UV-curing resin 8 having 10 to 50 kg/mm2 Young's modulus at 23 deg.C.
