FERMENTATION OF GARBAGE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply treat garbage in each home by housing garbage and an air permeable fermentation bag, in which a garbage decomposing microorganism preparation is housed, in a light permeable fermentation container to ferment garbage by solar rays. SOLUTION: A fermentation container 10 is obtained by molding a plate-like material, regenerated from a light permeable waste material, for example, a transparent PET bottle, into a box shape having an opening and has double side walls 10A, 10B between which a heat insulating material is housed to form an air layer in order to ensure light permeability and heat insulating properties. A fermentation bag 1 housing garbage or the like is formed by molding a nonwoven fabric or a mesh like sheet comprising a synthetic resin of a polyester fiber being an air permeable material into a bag shape. The fermentation bag 1 is placed on the water absorbing member 30 provided on the bottom in the fermentation container 10 and a mat member 40 is placed thereon to apply a lid 20 to the container 10. This fermentation container is set to a place receiving solar rays and garbage is fermented and decomposed by utilizing solar rays.
