PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reproduce a mark having an emission finishing area with a good C/N by forming a recording layer of an alloy obtained by adding bismuth to a specific four element compounds. SOLUTION: A recording material of a recording layer is a phase change type optical recording material made of an alloy containing four elements of copper(Cu), aluminum(Al), tellurium(Te) and antimony(Sb) capable of taking at least two states of a crystal state and an amorphous state and bismuth(Bi) of an adding element. An atomic % (atomic ratio) of the Cu, Al, Te and Sb for constituting the layer is 0.900<=w+x+y+z<=0.999, wherein b is 0.001 to 0.10 (wherein w: an atomic ratio of the Cu, x: an atomic ratio of the Al, y: atomic ratio of the Te, z: atomic ratio of the Sb, and b: atomic ratio of the Bi). Bi is added to the CuAlTeSb phase change type optical recording material without collapsing a balance of the ratio of the atomic number (atomic ratio) of the CuAlTeSb to control a crystallization speed. |
