PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laminate of functional material enabling a plastic, functional material such as highly viscous liquid or gel to be easily filled between substrates without causing bubbles and excellent in weather resistance and heat resistance. SOLUTION: When producing a laminate 1 of functional material by filling a functional material 4 in a liquid or wet gel form between substrates 2 and 3 at least the one of which is partially or wholly transparent, the quantity of dissolved oxygen in the material 4 is reduced to a level lower than that in an equilibrium state at normal temperature and at normal pressure by applying the material 4 on the substrate 3, by retaining the substrate 3 under a reduced pressure of <=10 Torr for 0.1-120 sec and then by filling the material 4 between the substrates 2 and 3.
