PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic cutting device which can precisely and rapidly cut an article by taking out articles tiered, one by one from the top thereof with the use a sucking pad. SOLUTION: A horizontal feed unit comprises a slide block 35 which is slidably guided in the longitudinal direction of a frame 22, and a sucking unit 50 consisting of a plurality of sucking pads 51 which are elasically inserted into one another so as to be movable in a direction orthogonal to the sliding direction of the slide block. A lift-up means for the sucking pads 51 is composed of a rail 47 carried by the frame and a roller follower provided on the upper end of the sucking unit 50. At the initial stage of a horizontal feed, the roller follower is guided by an inclined surface so as to ride on the upper surface of the rail 47, and workpieces tiered are cut out one by one from the upper most of the tiered workpieces by horizontally feeding a sucking pad 51 which sucks up the workpiece at the upper most of the tier while it is lifted up.
