PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rapidly and effectively resolve or clean colloidal emulsions of mudwash water by using a composition comprising aluminum chlorohydrate and a second component selected from the group consisting of quaternary amines, inorganic agents, polyamines, copolymers, polyacry lamides and mixtures thereof. SOLUTION: Aluminum chlorohydrate(ACH) is synonymous with polyaluminum chlorsulfate, polyaluminum chloride and basic aluminum chloride, and is characterized by two parameters, that is, strength(aluminum content) and basicity(degree of neutralization). On the other hand, the second component is selected from the group consisting of quaternary amines, polyquaternary amines, inorganic agents, polyamines, copolymers, polyaklylamides and mixtures thereof. Above all, polyamines especially polydiallyldimethylammonium chlorides which is the so-called normal poly (DADMAC), for example, are best suited as the second component. The volume ratio of aluminum chlorohydrate to the second component ranges from 80:20 to 20:80.
