Fixture 10 for securing to concrete or steel ceiling or beams 22 comprises a metal strip bent into a channel 11 and provided with a hole 12 for a hardened nail 13. The strip continues from one side of the channel into a second channel 16 facing the same way. The strip continues from the side of the second channel remote from the first channel and is bent back to overlie both channels, enabling the nail to be fired through the first channel hole and bent-back portion after loop 20 of suspension strand 21 has been inserted into the second channel by passing between the bent-back portion and the first channel. The loop is captive in the second channel and the double metal thickness provides bending strength. There may be a washer 24 between the nail head and the first channel. |
