Single-element optical connector

The optical connector element has a ferrule (1) receiving the fibre optic end, and a ferrule carrier (2) in a single section. A main body (4) receives the ferrule assembly. The ferrule carrier is surrounded by an outer with a spring mechanism (3) pushing against the body outer. The outer section click fits (6) into sections on the main body. The click section can be removed.
