Lidar system and application to a radar system

The radar system has a laser radar (L) transmitting optical beams separated by a frequency difference to a first (T1) and second frequency converter (T2). The two beams are transmitted, separated by a frequency and time separated outside the laser coherency time. Two laser beams are created by the second converter, and passed to a photo diode (PD2) acting as an offset for the returned target signals. The two reflected beams are collected by a photo diode (PD1) and the Doppler frequency (Ff) produced by mixing (M) between the two offset returned beams and the offset frequency beams from the local oscillator chain.
