A printer carriage (10) has a bushing liner (20) arranged to slide on a rod (12), the liner comprising a metal body with plastic inserts (24, 25) having, on their inside surfaces, ribs (60), which constitute the bearings of the bushing liner. The inserts (24, 25) are located in grooves (22, 23) of the metallic body by means of an injection moulding process. The external surface of the bushing liner comprises a plurality of flat and curved sections arranged asymmetrically to permit firm and accurate location in an aperture (14) of the carriage (10). <IMAGE> |
