PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet material feeder facilitating supply of sheet materials by a user when sheet materials supported by a sheet material support means are empty on the support means and having a simpler constitution, and an image forming device provided with the sheet material feeder. SOLUTION: When a sheet material supported by a sheet feeder casette 1 (sheet material support means) is fed by a feeder roller 2 (sheet material feeder means) and sheet materials supported by the sheet feeder casette 1 become empty, the drive force of a drive motor (drive means) driving the feeder roller 2 moves the sheet feeder casette 1 in the direction for extraction from the device main body.
